Job Description: Multispecialty Surgery Coder
The Multispecialty Surgery Coder role is critical to ensuring accurate revenue cycle management and compliance for our US-based healthcare clients. You will be responsible for translating complex surgical procedures into precise medical codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for a wide range of multispecialty surgical procedures.
- Perform thorough reviews of patient medical records and operative reports.
- Ensure all coding practices adhere to CPC, CCS, COC, and CRC certification guidelines and compliance regulations.
- Support the billing and claims process to minimize denials and ensure a timely revenue flow.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational teams in the US to clarify documentation and resolve coding queries.
- Maintain a high standard of coding accuracy and productivity as defined by the company.
Eligibility & Qualifications
To be considered for this medical coding job in Coimbatore, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Must be a graduate in a Life Science discipline.
- Relevant Degrees Include: BPT, MPT, B.Pharm, M.Pharm, B.Sc/M.Sc Nursing, B.Sc/M.Sc Microbiology, M.Sc Biochemistry, B.Sc Zoology, M.Sc Genetics, Nutrition, or Biology.
- Certification: A valid medical coding certification is mandatory. This includes CPC (AAPC), CCS (AHIMA), COC, or CRC.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience specifically in multispecialty surgery coding. Freshers cannot be considered for this role.
