As an Apprentice in Production at Piramal Pharma Solutions, you will assist in various critical operations to ensure smooth manufacturing processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Batch/Continuous Process Management: Support execution of batch and continuous processes as per production plans, ensuring timely completion.
- Quality Assurance: Help maintain the quality of recovered solvents and other products.
- Permit Issuance: Assist in issuing permits for maintenance activities in the Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and other production documentation.
- Equipment Cleaning: Participate in cleaning equipment during campaign changeovers.
- Incident Reporting: Report near-miss incidents or accidents promptly.
- Daily Reporting: Prepare daily reports covering batch cycle time, water consumption, manpower, and stock.
- Safety Management: Follow safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
- Compliance with cGMP: Ensure adherence to current Good Manufacturing Practices during shifts.
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the production area.
- Training & Safety Talks: Participate in training programs and daily safety discussions to promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Education: Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and safety management skills.
- Process Knowledge: Understanding of process equipment operation and utility systems.
- Chemical Handling: Experience or ability to handle hazardous chemicals such as Sodium cyanide, Cuprous cyanide, Sodium amide, Lithium aluminum hydride (LAH), etc.
