Job Description: Certified Medical Coder (HCC Coding)
Position: Certified Medical Coder – HCC Coding
Location: Kosmo One Tech Park, Ambattur, Chennai
Experience: Freshers and experienced coders welcome
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for healthcare claims
- Perform Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding to support risk adjustment
- Review medical records and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation
- Use medical coding software and computer systems efficiently
- Maintain attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all coding tasks
Eligibility & Required Skills
- Graduate from any recognized university
- Certification: CPC and/or CRC preferred (AAPC or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of medical coding software and computer systems
