Job Description: Junior Research Assistant (JRA)
Project Title: Fabrication, characterization, and bioefficacy of essential oil infused chitosan nanocomposite to enhance shelf-life of banana
Project Code: P-26/0165
Funding Agency: Council of Science & Technology, U.P. (CSTUP)
Duration: 3 years (Temporary, co-terminus with the project)
Location: Department of Botany, Institute of Science, BHU, Varanasi
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication and characterization of chitosan nanocomposites infused with essential oils.
- Conduct microbiological and biochemical assays to evaluate bioefficacy.
- Maintain laboratory records and assist in data analysis.
- Collaborate with the research team to meet project objectives.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Agriculture, or allied subjects with first division in both graduate and postgraduate exams.
- Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as of 1st April 2025.
- Residency: Only Indian citizens residing in Uttar Pradesh are eligible.
- Desirable Skills: Experience in microbiology laboratory techniques is preferred.
Fellowship Details:
- Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first two years.
- Rs. 28,000/- per month for the third year.
