This is a key role for someone with 6 to 12 years of experience in developing diverse dosage forms for the animal health and nutrition sector.
Job Description: Research Scientist – Formulation & Development
In this pivotal Formulation Scientist role, you will be at the forefront of creating safe, effective, and innovative products. You will leverage your expertise to translate concepts into commercially viable solutions, directly contributing to progress in animal health.
Key Responsibilities
As a Research Scientist, your core responsibilities will include:
- Formulation Development & Optimization: Lead the development and optimization of novel formulations across various dosage forms, including liquids, powders, solids, and semi-solids.
- Scale-Up and Technology Transfer: Manage the seamless transition of formulations from the laboratory scale to pilot and full commercial scale. Oversee technology transfer processes to manufacturing units.
- Project Leadership: Lead and mentor a dedicated team of junior scientists, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in the R&D environment.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Manage and collaborate on cross-functional projects with QA, Regulatory, and Production teams to ensure project alignment and timely execution.
- Regulatory Support & Documentation: Prepare and support all necessary regulatory documentation required for product approval and ensure compliance during validation activities.
- Innovation: Drive innovation by staying updated with the latest advancements in pharmaceutical formulation and animal nutrition.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualification: M. Pharmacy (Pharmaceutics/Industrial Pharmacy is highly preferred).
- Experience: 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in formulation development, preferably within the animal health, pharma, or nutraceutical industries.
- Technical Skills: Proven expertise in developing multiple dosage forms. Strong understanding of scale-up, process validation, and GMP guidelines.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
