Job Description: Research Scientist
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our dedicated R&D team. This is a hands-on role perfect for a professional passionate about developing cutting-edge diagnostic tests that make a real-world impact.
Key Role & Responsibilities:
As a Research Scientist, you will be at the forefront of our product development cycle. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and executing the end-to-end development and optimization of Lateral Flow Assays (LFA).
- Designing experimental protocols for feasibility, stability, and validation studies for Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) devices.
- Formulating conjugates, buffers, and membrane matrices to achieve optimal assay sensitivity and specificity.
- Conducting thorough data analysis, interpreting results, and preparing detailed technical reports.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to transition products from R&D to production.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with quality management systems.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in LFA development and diagnostic technologies.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, or a related life sciences field.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in the development and optimization of Lateral Flow Assays (LFA).
- Proven expertise in Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) device development is essential.
- Strong practical knowledge of conjugation chemistry, nitrocellulose membrane properties, and assay integration.
- Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and analyzing experimental data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, “immediate start” environment.
