Key Responsibilities in Microbiology Division
As an Executive Microbiologist at Azis Labs, you’ll play a pivotal role in microbial testing and lab operations. Your duties will include:
- Conducting routine and advanced microbiological analysis on food, water, pharma, and environmental samples per ISO, IS, USP, BP, APHA, AOAC, and pharmacopeia standards.
- Performing tests like Total Plate Count (TPC), Most Probable Number (MPN), Membrane Filtration (MF), pathogen detection (E. coli, Salmonella, S. aureus, Pseudomonas), and yeast/mould analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017, SOPs, and good documentation practices for audit readiness.
- Reviewing analytical results, verifying data accuracy, and preparing Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
- Handling media preparation, sterilization, autoclave verification, environmental monitoring, and culture maintenance.
- Participating in Proficiency Testing (PT)/Inter-Laboratory Comparisons (ILC), method validation, and verification activities.
- Maintaining equipment calibration, quality control checks, and lab hygiene standards.
- Training and supervising junior microbiologists to foster team growth.
- Preparing daily logs, worksheets, and coordinating with QA and other departments for seamless workflows.
