Key Responsibilities
In this pharmaceutical sales role, you’ll play a pivotal part in driving market initiatives and achieving sales targets. Your duties include:
- Identifying and mapping key stakeholders in the assigned region to implement marketing strategies, working closely with the Area Sales Manager.
- Engaging doctors regularly to promote Novo Nordisk products, address queries, overcome objections, and secure prescriptions for diabetes and obesity treatments.
- Meeting sales effectiveness KPIs, including call averages, frequency, coverage, personal order bookings, and related targets in cardiometabolic sales.
- Ensuring timely product supply by coordinating with C&FA agents and stockists, placing orders as needed.
- Conducting prescription audits and competitive analysis to track doctor engagement, evaluate visit outcomes, and monitor competitor activity in the Bangalore territory.
- Supporting strategic doctor segmentation, assisting in order bookings, and providing feedback on market developments to sales leadership.
- Collaborating with internal teams, organizing approved educational activities, and maintaining disciplined reporting and administrative processes.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel as a Product Specialist in this cardiometabolic sales position, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Pharma or Life Sciences (full-time).
- 1–7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably with diabetes products.
- Strong knowledge of the territory, market, and stockists in Bangalore.
