Key Responsibilities
As a Research Associate at Evoxia Labs India, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing biomass valorization technologies. Your duties include:
- Designing and conducting experiments on biomass fractionation, solvent extraction, and chemical derivatization of lignocellulosic materials to optimize yields for industrial scalability.
- Fine-tuning reaction parameters such as temperature, pressure, residence time, and catalysts to enhance process efficiency.
- Operating and maintaining bench-scale and pilot-scale equipment, including jacketed reactors, rotary evaporators, and filtration units.
- Performing qualitative and quantitative analysis using techniques like HPLC, GC, and FTIR to validate reaction products.
- Maintaining detailed documentation of experimental data and leading the drafting of technical specifications for process and composition patents.
- Collaborating with the founding team to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pilot plant operations.
Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this Research Associate position in Chennai, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering with specialization in Organic Chemistry, Catalysis, or Green Chemistry (mandatory); PhD is a plus.
- Proven research experience in lignocellulosic biomass, bio-based catalysis, solvent extraction, or green chemistry.
- Strong knowledge of patent filing processes and deep-tech commercialization.
- Hands-on experience with pilot plants, jacketed reactors, and downstream processing equipment.
