Lupin Limited, a leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, is inviting applications for the position of Trainee Officer – Production at its Pune Biotech manufacturing facility. This opportunity is ideal for freshers and early-career professionals (0–3 years) with a Master’s degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology, looking to build a strong career in biopharmaceutical manufacturing and upstream processing.
This role provides hands-on exposure to fermentation, protein purification, cGMP manufacturing, and technology transfer, making it a highly valuable entry-level biotech production job in India.
Key Responsibilities – Trainee Officer Production (Biotech)
- Execute upstream production batches as per approved Batch Production Records (BPR)
- Operate and monitor upstream manufacturing equipment, including:
- Fermenters
- Centrifuge
- High Pressure Homogenizer
- Autoclave
- Spectrophotometer
- CIP/SIP systems
- Cold room and integrity testing machines
- Perform process execution, CIP/SIP activities, and timely batch documentation as per SOPs
- Prepare and update process- and equipment-related SOPs
- Initiate and manage change controls and deviations in QA-approved formats
- Coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance teams for equipment breakdowns, PM, and AMC
- Assist in technology transfer from R&D to Manufacturing
- Participate in cGMP, safety, and on-the-job training programs
- Ensure workplace safety and regulatory compliance at all times
Educational Qualification
- M.Sc. in Microbiology or M.Sc. in Biotechnology (mandatory)
Work Experience
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Freshers with strong academic knowledge of fermentation and upstream processing are encouraged to apply
