Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for diagnoses and procedures
- Perform quality audits for E&M Orthopedic coding
- Ensure compliance with medical necessity guidelines
- Apply APC methodologies while processing charts
- Identify coding discrepancies and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain adherence to payer policies, CMS guidelines, and coding regulations
- Support internal audits and quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- CPC Certification (mandatory)
- Graduate degree in Life Sciences (B.Pharm, M.Pharm, BSc, MSc, or related fields)
- Strong knowledge of E&M and Orthopedic coding
- Hands-on experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and medical necessity rules
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in QA or auditing roles in medical coding
- Familiarity with US healthcare reimbursement systems
- Ability to interpret complex clinical documentation
- High attention to detail and accuracy
