Chemist – ADL Responsibilities

The selected candidate will contribute to analytical activities supporting chemical synthesis research. Key responsibilities are expected to include:

  • Perform analytical testing using HPLC and Gas Chromatography (GC).
  • Operate and work with GC-MS and LC-MS analytical techniques.
  • Support analytical method development and optimization.
  • Interpret analytical data and investigate unexpected results.
  • Troubleshoot analytical instruments and laboratory issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate scientific and laboratory documentation.
  • Follow established quality systems, compliance requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, reproducibility and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with research and laboratory teams on analytical requirements.
  • Support analytical activities associated with the Chemical Synthesis Research Laboratory.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants should have:

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry, or
  • M.Sc. in Chemistry

Experience

The company is looking for candidates with 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in:

  • Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL)
  • Quality Control (QC)
  • Analytical method development
  • Pharmaceutical or chemical analytical laboratories

Required Technical Skills

Candidates should ideally have hands-on experience with:

HPLC: High-Performance Liquid Chromatography for analytical testing and method development.

GC: Gas Chromatography for analysis of volatile and semi-volatile compounds.

GC-MS: Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry for advanced analytical characterization.

LC-MS: Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry for compound identification and characterization.

Additional knowledge of analytical data interpretation, troubleshooting, method development and scientific documentation will be valuable for this Chemist – ADL position.
