About the Role
The Junior Team Member – Microbiology will execute assigned microbiological testing and produce reliable, reproducible results against established specifications and standards. The position requires strong laboratory discipline, accurate documentation and the ability to work within a regulated pharmaceutical quality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze microbiological samples according to priority and assigned workload.
- Review analytical data against specifications, microbiological methods and obtained results.
- Prepare, review and submit reports to the Team Leader within defined timelines.
- Support timely sample and batch release by meeting service-level requirements.
- Report errors, abnormal observations and non-compliances involving procedures, equipment and instruments.
- Initiate investigations and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate laboratory incidents and errors to prevent recurrence.
- Record raw data, test results and observations accurately in relevant test data sheets.
- Review reports according to cGMP, GDP and GLP requirements.
- Follow SOPs and established laboratory procedures to prevent GMP and regulatory concerns.
- Evaluate and document equipment or instrument breakdowns.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments in an optimal operating condition.
- Coordinate with Units, QA/QC and Stores for specifications, documentation, sample release and materials.
- Obtain or coordinate pharmacopoeial guidelines through CQA when required.
Microbiology Testing & Workload
