Position
Scientific Writer
The selected candidate will work with R&D scientists, patent attorneys, and cross-functional teams to prepare scientific documents, support intellectual property protection, and communicate research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and review research articles, review papers, white papers, and technical reports.
- Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and compliance with journal and editorial standards.
- Convert experimental findings into manuscripts, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Prepare invention disclosures, patent applications, and related intellectual property documents in collaboration with patent attorneys and R&D teams.
- Support intellectual property filings and maintain IP databases.
- Develop scientific presentations, posters, and conference materials.
- Contribute to grant applications, technical proposals, and business development presentations.
- Maintain scientific content repositories, literature reviews, and competitive intelligence summaries.
- Coordinate with R&D, Business Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Legal teams.
Eligibility and Qualifications
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2–6 years of experience in scientific writing in academia or industry.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology, synthetic biology, protein engineering, or related domains.
- Experience in patent or intellectual property management and working with patent attorneys is preferred.
- A strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Indian and international patent processes and IP management tools.
