Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder at Collance, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and analyzing medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures.
  • Assigning appropriate codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations, including HCC (Hierarchical Condition Category) coding requirements.
  • Collaborating with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and industry trends.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in medical coding, with a focus on HCC Coding.
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) certification is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
