Who Can Apply for GKS Scholarship 2025?

1. Nationality

Candidates of countries who get invitations to participate in the National Institute of International Education (NIIED) program may apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS). The number of students chosen for each program and year varies by country.

2. Education

• Students who have completed or plan to complete an associate degree program or high school are eligible to apply for the bachelor’s degree program.
• The Associate Degree Program is available to individuals who have completed or plan to complete their high school education.
• It should be noted that throughout the application process, candidates who want to graduate must submit a certificate of intended graduation. They have until December 31, 2024, to turn in their formal graduation diploma if they are chosen in the first round.

3. GKS GPA requirements

• A student should rank in the top 20% of their class or have a score percentile of 80% or above on a 100-point scale.
• The CGPA needs to be 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0, or above.

4. Age Limit

In order to qualify for the GKS scholarship 2024, one must be an Indian citizen who, as of March 1, is under 25 years old. It is expected of high school graduates to finish their graduation by February 28 of that particular year.

• In the last phase of selection, an applicant will be excluded if it is determined that they meet any of the following conditions:
• A candidate who has tested positive for drugs; An applicant who suffers from a significant condition that would prohibit them from studying abroad for an extended amount of time
