The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Central Organisation, headquartered in Delhi, functions under the Chief of Staff Committee (COSC) through AG and DGDC&W in Army HQ. Headed by a serving Major General, the ECHS Central Organisation administers 28 Regional Centres and 426 Polyclinics across India. The organisation operates as an attached office under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (DoESW), Ministry of Defence (MoD), alongside the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) and Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB).
Responsibilities in Job
The selected Pharmacist will be responsible for:
- Dispensing medications to patients as per prescriptions.
- Managing inventory and ensuring the availability of medicines at the assigned ECHS Polyclinic.
- Maintaining records of prescriptions and medications dispensed.
- Assisting in patient counseling regarding prescribed medications and dosages.
- Adhering to the ethical and professional standards of pharmacy practice.
Qualifications Required
Candidates must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the post of Pharmacist:
- Educational Qualifications:
- Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institute. OR
- 10+2 with a Science stream and an approved Diploma in Pharmacy from an institute recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India.
- Registration: Must be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of work experience is required.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical practices and medication dispensing.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for patient interaction.
- Familiarity with medical terminologies and prescription guidelines.
Fixed Remuneration
The selected candidates will receive a fixed remuneration of Rs. 28,100/- per month.
