Job Description: Senior Medical Writer at Parexel
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Medical Writer (SMW), you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality clinical and regulatory documents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Authoring signal management reports, including Validations, Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs), and responses to Health Authority (HA) requests.
- Supporting early and late-phase drug development with safety oversight and risk management.
- Conducting signal detection and evaluation from regulatory databases, literature, and other sources.
- Leading signal review meetings and presenting findings to stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations and internal SOPs.
- Collaborating with Global Safety Officers (GSO) and cross-functional teams.
- Training and mentoring junior team members.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
✔ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication in English
✔ Ability to interpret and summarize complex medical data
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
✔ Strong organizational and time management skills
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in Regulatory Writing, Pharmacovigilance, or Medical Writing
- Knowledge of medical terminologies and drug safety regulations
- Experience with signal detection tools and databases
Education:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- Medical degree (MBBS, BDS, Nursing) or advanced degrees (PhD, PharmD) are a plus.
