Responsibilities in the Job:
As a Methodologist under the National Cancer Grid Project, you will play a key role in supporting various research and guideline development efforts. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the guideline development group and the health technology assessment team in evidence synthesis.
- Conducting literature searches, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses.
- Drafting evidence synthesis documents.
- Evaluating and reviewing existing guidelines for cancer management.
- Writing protocols and collaborating on publications.
- Conducting training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of others in systematic reviews and evidence-based research.
Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Essential:
- MBBS, Doctor of Pharmacy, M.Sc. in Life Sciences, or M.Sc. in Statistics with at least 2 years of experience in systematic reviews and/or network meta-analysis.
- MD / MS / PhD or equivalent post-graduate qualification in allopathic medicine with 1 year of experience in systematic reviews or network meta-analysis.
- Desirable:
- Formal certification or training in systematic reviews/meta-analysis would be an added advantage.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in systematic review methodologies, evidence synthesis, and meta-analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cancer care guidelines and treatment protocols is beneficial.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in research-related tasks.
