Responsibilities in Job
The selected candidate for the role of Project Research Scientist-I will be involved in the ICMR-funded project entitled “Differentiation, molecular characterization and translational application of culture expanded human corneal endothelial cells.”
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting laboratory-based research on cell culture and molecular characterization.
- Supporting translational research applications in ophthalmic sciences.
- Preparing research reports, maintaining lab records, and assisting in project documentation.
- Collaborating with senior researchers and contributing to project development.
Qualification Required
- Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from a recognized university/institution with at least 60% marks.
- Minimum two years of research experience after Master’s degree.
- Desirable Qualification:
- Hands-on experience in cell culture techniques.
Skills Required
To excel in this role, candidates should have:
- Strong background in biological research methodologies.
- Practical experience in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills for data interpretation.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a research team.
- Good communication and scientific writing skills.
Age Limit and Salary
- Age Limit: Up to 35 years.
- Salary: As per ICMR norms.
- Tenure: 9 months.
