About the Role
As an Associate Scientist – Peptide Synthesis, you will be an integral part of Aragen’s peptide chemistry team. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting solid-phase and solution-phase peptide synthesis.
- Handling diverse resins for peptide synthesis.
- Performing peptide modifications such as cyclization, disulfide bridge formation, stapling, and derivatization.
- Working on peptide synthesis at scales ranging from milligrams to grams.
- Characterizing peptides using advanced analytical techniques like LCMS, HPLC, and NMR.
- Operating and maintaining automated peptide synthesizers (experience is desirable).
- Purifying peptides using techniques like preparative HPLC (experience is a plus).
- Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Skills Required
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in peptide synthesis, modification, and characterization.
- Analytical Skills: Hands-on experience with LCMS, HPLC, and NMR for peptide analysis.
