Job Description: Associate Director Clinical Research
As the Associate Director Clinical Research, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing clinical research activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership and Team Development: Building and nurturing a high-performing team, fostering team spirit, and ensuring adequate resources for assigned studies.
- Performance Management: Overseeing the development and training of direct reports, conducting regular coaching sessions, and preparing salary and bonus proposals based on performance.
- Study Delivery: Ensuring the successful delivery of clinical studies at the country level, meeting targets with speed and quality.
- Quality Assurance: Contributing to the improvement of study processes, ensuring compliance with local policies, and maintaining inspection-ready eTMF (electronic Trial Master File).
- Collaboration: Working closely with Functional Service Providers (FSPs) and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of clinical trials.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in global clinical operations within a pharmaceutical company or CRO.
- Proven experience in leading teams of Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) and managing global Phase 2/3 studies.
- Strong scientific understanding of therapeutic areas, drug development, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Desirable Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and clinical study processes.
- Experience in project management and resource management.
- Strong decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote and multicultural environment.
