Key Responsibilities
As an Associate Consultant- Partnerships at BIRAC, your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the biotechnology sector. The role involves fostering collaborations with government agencies, industry leaders, academic institutions, investors, and international organizations. Some key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and Developing Partnerships: Cultivate strategic partnerships with national and international entities to promote innovation in the biotech sector.
- Negotiating Agreements: Lead negotiations and establish formal agreements to support mutual objectives between BIRAC and its strategic partners.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring clear communication and fostering long-term relationships.
- Project Execution: Implement activities in collaboration with partners according to agreed terms and conditions.
- Monitoring and Evaluating Partnerships: Assess the performance of partnerships and identify potential areas for growth and improvement.
- Strategic Guidance: Provide strategic advice to internal teams on partnership matters and represent BIRAC at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
Essential Qualifications
To be eligible for the position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Desirable: An MBA from a premier institution is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience Requirements
The candidate should have:
- Associate Consultant: 3 to 10 years of post-qualification experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in developing and managing partnerships, business development, consulting, or project management roles.
- Experience with government departments will be considered an added advantage.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, including government, industry, and academia.
- Strong understanding of the biotechnology ecosystem and current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, handling multiple projects at once.
