Job Description: Medical Writer – MedInfo
As a Medical Writer at Cactus Life Sciences, you will be at the heart of scientific communication. You will use your deep understanding of medical science to develop a wide range of materials that educate and inform healthcare professionals and global pharmaceutical clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop High-Quality Scientific Content: You will be responsible for writing, proofreading, and data-checking various materials, including:
- Medical Information Letters and Standard Response Letters (SRLs)
- MSL and training slide decks
- Manuscripts, abstracts, and posters for scientific congresses
- Literature reviews and searches
- HCP engagement content and infographics
- Build Professional Relationships: Liaise directly with international pharmaceutical clients, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders (KOLs), learning to anticipate their scientific communication needs.
- Embrace Digital Innovation: Apply your scientific and creative knowledge to develop cutting-edge digital medical communications, such as publication extenders, interactive assets, and medical information engagement plans.
- Ensure Compliance: Guarantee all materials adhere to client SOPs, style guides, and CACTUS’ internal quality standards.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders in a remote-first environment, demonstrating excellent communication and project management skills.
Qualifications and Prerequisites
To excel in this Medical Writer role, you should possess the following:
- Educational Background: A PhD/MD (Pharmacology), PhD (Life Sciences), or a PharmD with a strong understanding of clinical research and medical communication.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in Medical Communications or Medical Information (MedInfo) within an agency or a biopharma environment. Experience in content for Medical Affairs is highly preferred.
- Core Skills:
- Exceptional scientific writing skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise, and robust manner.
- Strong aptitude for quickly comprehending and interpreting clinical data.
- Excellent command of the English language and a keen eye for detail.
- Basic knowledge of biostatistics and literature evaluation capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
