Key Responsibilities
As a Research Scientist-II at Cadila Pharmaceuticals, you will play a pivotal role in the development of novel formulations and ensuring their successful transition from lab to market. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of BOM (Bill of Materials): Develop BOM for new UID activities, focusing on costing for New Product Developments (NPDs).
- Timely Project Delivery: Ensure the timely development and delivery of assigned formulations and projects within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Documentation & Formulation Support: Complete document preparation and formulation activities to support pre-clinical, clinical supplies, technology transfer, and exhibit batch manufacturing.
- Regulatory Compliance: Develop non-infringing strategies for novel formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for US, EU, and ROW markets.
- Lab Documentation: Maintain accurate lab notebooks, compile stability data, and track project progress.
- Specification Preparation: Prepare and request specifications for raw materials, packaging materials, in-process controls, and finished products.
- Document Review & Coordination: Prepare and review documents for exhibit/commercial batches, including master formula cards, product specifications, development reports, and technology transfer dockets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams for timely project delivery.
- Equipment Management: Identify product/process-specific equipment and machinery, and maintain records of their usage and maintenance.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to SOPs, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) in all product development activities.

Qualifications & Skills
- Educational Background: A degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field. Advanced degrees (M.Pharm, Ph.D.) are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development, preferably in a research-driven environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, formulation techniques, and product development processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
