Job Description: Senior Specialist Pharmacovigilance
The Senior Specialist Pharmacovigilance will be a key player in our drug safety operations. This role focuses primarily on managing safety information derived from scientific literature and ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
The selected candidate will be responsible for the following essential functions:
- Literature Screening: Screening scientific literature using internal search mechanisms and external tools/providers to identify relevant safety information.
- Classification: Accurately classifying references of safety-relevant publications.
- Process Management: Keeping track of the internal literature ordering process.
- Data Entry: Entering literature report data into the safety database.
- Report Preparation: Preparing standard reporting forms such as CIOMS I, MedWatch Forms, and XML files.
- Case Management: Completing and documenting cases to a high standard.
- EMA MLM Service: Downloading, reviewing, and sharing client-specific ICSRs (Individual Case Safety Reports) from the EMA’s Medical Literature Monitoring (MLM) service.
- Duplicate Checks: Performing duplicate searches of literature cases against the updated EMA MLM database.
- Client Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact for client and project management.
- The employee may also be required to take on additional reasonable tasks aligned with their abilities and training.
