Job Description: Medical Laboratory Scientist
The Medical Laboratory Scientist will be an integral part of our clinical and research laboratory team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting complex tests on patient samples, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results that are critical for diagnosis and research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and troubleshoot standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) and real-time PCR.
- Execute high-quality DNA extraction and purification from various sample types.
- Operate and maintain equipment for DNA sequencing (e.g., Sanger Sequencing, NGS platforms).
- Safely and efficiently handle infectious human samples in a molecular diagnostic laboratory setting, adhering to strict biosafety protocols.
- Accurately record, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Maintain detailed documentation in compliance with laboratory standards (GLP/GCP).
- Collaborate with the research and development team on new assay validations.
Requirements and Qualifications

- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BSc/MSc) in Genetics, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or Molecular Biology.
