Job Description: Pharmacist at ECHS Guwahati
The Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is hiring a Pharmacist for its Guwahati Polyclinic. This is a contractual position (01 Aug 2025 – 31 Mar 2026) open for Ex-Servicemen (ESM), Veer Naris, and Widows of ESM. Civilians may apply if no eligible ESM candidates are available.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Dispensing medications as per prescriptions.
✔ Maintaining pharmacy inventory and ensuring stock availability.
✔ Ensuring compliance with the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
✔ Assisting in patient counseling regarding drug usage.
✔ Maintaining records of medicines and supplies.
Eligibility Criteria for Pharmacist at ECHS Guwahati
Educational Qualification:
- B.Pharm from a recognized institute OR
- 10+2 (Science Stream – Physics, Chemistry, Biology) + Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from a PCI-recognized institute.
- Must be registered under the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Age Limit:
- As per ECHS norms (preference to Ex-Servicemen candidates).
