We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, along with a basic understanding of laboratory equipment and testing procedures. This role involves supporting daily lab operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and assisting in research projects.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Lab Technician, your primary duties will include:
- Monitoring and reporting daily lab status to senior authorities.
- Setting up laboratories for experiments and assay preparation.
- Overseeing lab cleaning, maintenance, and stock management.
- Handling Biosafety Cabinet (BSC) operations and processing clinical samples.
- Assisting in molecular biology and microbiology experiments.
- Maintaining accurate records of lab procedures and findings.
- Ensuring compliance with biosafety regulations and quality control measures.
- Supporting senior technicians and scientists in ongoing research projects.
- Troubleshooting basic laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Participating in internal training and skill development programs.
Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- B.Sc in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology.
- 0-1 year of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of Molecular Biology and Microbiology techniques.
- Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with RT-PCR, Gel Agarose Electrophoresis, and Real-Time PCR equipment.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi for effective communication.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools.
