Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, monitor, and work up chemical reactions with senior chemists
- Operate lab instruments like Combiflash and Rotary Evaporator
- Perform purification using:
- Column Chromatography
- Vacuum Distillation
- Crystallization
- Conduct compound characterization using:
- Mass Spectrometry (MS)
- ¹H NMR spectroscopy
- Maintain lab notebooks and prepare technical reports
- Perform literature search using SciFinder and research databases
- Handle routine lab responsibilities:
- Equipment maintenance
- Chemical inventory management
- Lab safety & cleanliness
- Execute multiple reactions independently
- Stay updated with latest research in organic chemistry
Qualifications & Eligibility
- MSc in Organic Chemistry (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis & reaction mechanisms
- Basic knowledge of analytical instruments (HPLC, NMR, MS preferred)
- Good documentation and data analysis skills
