Haber is hiring a highly skilled Research Associate – Organic & Analytical to support its R&D operations in Pune. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in organic synthesis, formulation development, analytical method validation, and instrument operations such as GC, HPLC, FTIR, and UV-Vis.

Key Responsibilities

1. Analytical & Instrumentation Work

  • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
  • Operate GC, HPLC, FTIR, UV-Vis, TGA/DSC, viscometer, and other laboratory instruments.
  • Prepare, standardize, and maintain analytical reagents and solvent systems.
  • Conduct impurity profiling, stability studies, and composition analysis.
  • Develop and validate analytical test methods and maintain calibration documentation.
  • Ensure complete traceability and adherence to ISO, GLP, and laboratory safety protocols.

2. Organic Synthesis & Formulation

  • Execute organic reactions, purifications, and small-scale formulation experiments.
  • Optimize reaction conditions (solvent, catalyst, pH, temperature).
  • Perform purification techniques—distillation, crystallization, extraction, chromatography.
  • Prepare lab batches, stability samples, and application-testing materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental conditions, yields, and formulation data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or related fields.
  • 1–3 years of experience in organic synthesis, analytical testing, or formulation development.
  • Hands-on experience with reflux setups, reactors, rotary evaporators, and purification systems.
  • Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and analytical data interpretation.
  • Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and lab safety awareness.
  • Knowledge of ISO/QMS and GLP standards is a strong advantage.
