Responsibilities in the Job:
As a Cell Line Development Associate, your responsibilities will span a variety of crucial tasks that contribute to the advancement of the company’s biopharmaceutical projects:
- Cell Line Development:
- Design, execute, and optimize cell line generation protocols, including transfection, selection, and cloning of stable cell lines.
- Characterize cell lines to ensure they meet the desired traits such as productivity, stability, and expression levels.
- Develop reproducible processes for generating high-quality cell lines for research and production purposes.
- Molecular Biology Expertise:
- Perform key molecular biology techniques, including plasmid construction, PCR, and sequencing for thorough characterization of cell lines.
- Assess genetic stability to ensure the reliability of developed cell lines.
- Cell Culture & Maintenance:
- Maintain and propagate mammalian cell cultures with strict adherence to quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges within cell culture processes.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Accurately document experimental results, analyze data, and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Present findings clearly to the R&D team and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with upstream production, downstream purification, analytical characterization, and quality control teams.
- Stay abreast of trends and advancements in cell line development technologies to contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Educational Background:
- Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in cell line development and molecular biology.
- Proven expertise in mammalian cell culture techniques and aseptic handling.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and sequencing.
- Knowledge of bioproduction workflows or antibody expression systems is an added advantage.
- Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
