illegal Pharma Sales, Seized Expired Drugs by Drug Control Administration

Drug Control Administration (DCA) of Telangana Has often been vigilant in Detecting illegal sales of drugs and expired Drugs, including Pharmacist And physical samples of expired medicines, Action Will be taken against violators under the law.

Officers from the Drugs Control Administration, Secunderabad, seized expired medications and doctor’s samples that were unlawfully stored for sale at the retail area in Tarnaka, Hyderabad, on Monday, based on reliable information.

A total of Rs. 55,000 prices of drugs were taken by DCA agents during the procedure, including six types of expired medicines, nine types of doctor’s samples, and one prescription for institutional use.

Pharmaceutical companies make doctor’s samples, which are not meant for the deal and are allocated to doctors to be provided to their patients as free models.

Authorities who guided the raid contained D. Saritha, Assistant Director, Secunderabad; B. Govind Singh, Drugs Inspector, Secunderabad; G. Anil, Drugs Inspector, Malakpet; P. Renuka, Drugs Inspector, Musheerabad; and M. Surendranath, Drugs Inspector, Begumpet.

All of the violators will be subject to further investigation and relevant permitted action.

Telangana’s Drug Control Administration has been steadfastly attentive in determining models of criminal medicine sales, specifically those involving expired drugs and doctor’s samples. Infringements of the law will result in harsh sentence.

Drugstores that reserve doctor’s samples and outdated drugs for sale are restricted by the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and may face a two-year jail sentence.
