Job Description
NIPER Hajipur is hiring a Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for an ICMR-funded project:
“In vitro and in vivo evaluation of liposome encapsulated Mycobacteriophages D29 and TM4 as therapeutic candidates against Mycobacterium tuberculosis” (Project ID: IIRPSG-2024-01-01066).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on liposomal nano-formulations for tuberculosis treatment.
- Perform in vitro and in vivo evaluations of drug delivery systems.
- Collaborate with ICMR-NIRT, Chennai for project execution.
- Ensure stability and characterization of nano-formulations.
- Publish research findings in reputed journals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential Qualification:
- First-class postgraduate degree (MPharm/MSc/MTech) in Nanotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, or related fields.
- OR Second-class postgraduate degree with a PhD in relevant disciplines.
- Desirable Experience:
- Prior research experience in nano/liposomal drug delivery.
- Experience in stability studies and characterization techniques.
- PhD submitted or completed candidates will be preferred.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 40 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. norms).
Salary & Benefits:
- ₹56,000 per month + 10% HRA
- 5% increment after 2 years (based on performance)
- Contractual position (initially for 1 year, extendable based on project requirements).
