Job Description: Assistant Officer – IPR

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be integral to managing the company’s intellectual property portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
- Patent Drafting: Drafting and correcting both provisional and full patent specifications in collaboration with chemists.
- Patent Search: Conducting STN searches to establish the novelty of inventions.
- Patent Prosecution: Handling office actions, amendments, renewal fees, and other formalities for all filed patents.
- Contract Management: Drafting various agreements and contracts and following up on their execution.
- IP Landscape Monitoring: Periodically checking the patent landscape for current research targets.
- IND Filing Support: Collating documents for Investigational New Drug (IND) applications and coordinating with IND consultants.
- IP Tracking: Maintaining a comprehensive tracker for all patents, their status, and upcoming processes.
- Lab Notebook Management: Managing and conducting periodic audits of both paper and electronic lab notebooks.
- External Coordination: Communicating with external patent attorneys and tracking payments and invoices.
Person Profile:
- Qualification:
- M.Sc in Chemistry is mandatory.
- A diploma or degree in Patent Law or Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) is required.
- Experience:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in IPR, patent drafting, or a related field. This is an excellent entry-level to early-career role.
