NIAB Job Openings 2025: Project Scientist, SRF, Technical Assistant
NIAB is hiring for the following positions on a contractual basis until July 2028, subject to performance:
1. Project Scientist – II (1 Position)
- Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Biological Science OR Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with 3 years R&D experience in academia/industry/science organizations.
- Age Limit: 40 years (Relaxation as per Govt. norms)
- Fellowship: Rs. 67,000 + HRA (As applicable)
- Tenure: One year, extendable based on performance
2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (1 Position)
- Qualification: MVSc / M.Tech / MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology with 2 years R&D experience.
- Desirable: Experience in cell culture, ELISA, Molecular biology, PCR, qPCR; NET/GATE qualified preferred.
- Age Limit: 35 years (Relaxation as per Govt. norms)
- Fellowship: Rs. 42,000 + HRA (As applicable)
- Tenure: One year, extendable based on performance
3. Technical Assistant (1 Position)
- Qualification: B.Sc. in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
- Experience: Desirable experience in biological lab work, microbiology, cell culture, immunological techniques, animal handling.
- Age Limit: 50 years (Relaxation as per Govt. norms)
- Fellowship: Rs. 20,000 + HRA (As applicable)
- Tenure: One year, extendable based on performance
Job Description and Responsibilities
- Project Scientist: Lead and coordinate research activities related to bovine tuberculosis, analyze genomic differences, and study host-pathogen interactions.
- Senior Research Fellow: Conduct experiments involving molecular biology techniques, cell culture, ELISA, PCR/qPCR, and assist in data analysis.
- Technical Assistant: Support laboratory operations including microbiology, immunological assays, cell culture maintenance, and animal handling.
