Job Description
The selected candidate will work under Dr. Soumen Basak (Staff Scientist-VII, Systems Immunology Laboratory) on a cutting-edge research project focused on developing a live-attenuated Chikungunya vaccine. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting biochemical, molecular, and cell biology experiments related to viral immunology.
- Engineering viral strains and evaluating immune responses.
- Publishing research findings in internationally reputed journals.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for vaccine development.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- MSc in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Immunology/Virology with minimum 60% marks.
- Must have qualified NET (CSIR/DBT/ICMR/UGC).
- OR a PhD in a relevant field.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years of research experience in a reputed institute (for MSc candidates).
- OR a PhD with relevant research experience.
Desirable Skills
- At least 2 publications in internationally reputed journals.
- Expertise in cell signaling, viral immunology, and molecular biology techniques.
