Job Description
As a Junior Medical Coder at Optum, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate medical coding, which directly impacts patient care and billing processes. You will review patient records, assign appropriate codes, and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Science, Bioscience, Pharmacy, Nursing, or Allied Health.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy basics.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding guidelines.
- Ability to review medical records for accuracy and completeness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AAPC/AHIMA Certification (e.g., CPC, CCS).
- Experience in Risk Adjustment coding.
