Job Description: Scientific Business Analyst – Biological Studies (LIMS)
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a bridge between scientists and IT teams, translating research needs into technical solutions.
- Manage LIMS (Lab Information Management System), ELN (Electronic Lab Notebook), and other scientific data platforms.
- Convert scientific use cases into user stories, epics, and process documentation.
- Support data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Spotfire.
- Ensure compliance with GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GLP, and GCP regulations.
- Facilitate AI/ML readiness by optimizing research data platforms.
- Maintain system documentation, training materials, and support resources.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, or Computer Science + 1–3 years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BTech) in relevant fields + 3–5 years of experience.
- Diploma in Biological Sciences/Lab Technology + 7–9 years of experience.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience in LIMS/ELN platforms (LabVantage, Revvity, IDBS, Watson).
- Proficiency in JIRA or similar tools for requirement documentation.
- Strong data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire).
- Knowledge of bioanalytical workflows and biospecimen management.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with pharma R&D software and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Understanding of Agile/SAFe methodologies.
- Awareness of GxP compliance and regulatory standards.
