- Senior Medical Coder

Job Description: Key Responsibilities & Requirements
As a vital member of our HCC team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant medical coding that directly impacts risk adjustment and revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and efficient review and ICD coding of patient medical records for HCC and risk adjustment.
- Analyze complex patient charts to identify and assign appropriate diagnostic codes.
- Ensure all coding complies with official coding guidelines, CMS regulations, and company policies.
- (For Senior Coders & Auditors) Conduct quality audits of coded charts to ensure accuracy and provide constructive feedback.
- (For Senior Coders & Auditors) Mentor and guide junior coding staff.
- Stay updated on the latest changes in ICD-10-CM guidelines and risk adjustment models.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications:
- Must-have: Proven experience of 6 months to 2 years in HCC medical coding.
- Must-have: Strong, demonstrable knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding principles and guidelines.
- Must-have: In-depth understanding of Anatomy & Physiology and medical terminology.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CRC) is a significant advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Preferred Location: Hyderabad (We are primarily looking for candidates who can work from our Hyderabad office).
