Key Responsibilities
As a Medical Coder or Quality Analyst at VEE HealthTek, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and analyzing patient medical records to assign accurate codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS classification systems.
- Ensuring all coding complies with federal regulations and payer-specific guidelines.
- Performing quality audits to maintain a coding accuracy rate of 95% or above.
- Managing and appealing denied claims by identifying and correcting coding errors.
- Collaborating with the training and QA teams to implement best practices.
- Handling sensitive patient information with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance protocols.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
- Life Science Graduates (B.Sc, M.Sc in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry)
- Pharmacy Graduates (B.Pharm, M.Pharm)
- Nursing or Allied Health Science Graduates (BPT, BDS, BAMS, BHMS)
Preferred Certifications:
- CPC, CCS, or COC certification from AAPC or AHIMA is highly preferred.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in medical coding (Freshers are not eligible).
- Up to 4 years of experience in the specialties mentioned above.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Immediate joiners will be given priority.
