Key Responsibilities – Microbiology Jobs in Pharma
Selected candidates will be responsible for the following microbiology and quality control activities:
- Sampling of in-process culture media, water, raw materials, and bulk materials
- Environmental Monitoring (EM) of production and microbiology areas
- Performing fogging activities in production and microbiology areas
- Testing of RO, DM, and Purified Water
- Microbiological testing of raw materials, bulk materials, and in-process products
- Preparation of culture suspensions
- Calibration of pH meters, balances, and halogen moisture analyzers
- Conducting Growth Promotion Tests (GPT)
- Environmental monitoring – NVPC, viable, and surface monitoring in aseptic areas
- Maintaining issuance and reconciliation records for media and consumables
- Performing Microbial Enumeration Test (MET) and Bacterial Endotoxin Test (BET)
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc / M.Sc (Microbiology) or equivalent life science qualification
- Experience: 2–5 years in pharmaceutical or biotech microbiology labs
- Skills Required:
- Strong understanding of GMP & aseptic practices
- Hands-on experience in environmental monitoring and water testing
- Documentation and compliance knowledge
