Job Description: Research & Formulation Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and research-driven individual who is eager to innovate in the skincare industry. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or someone with initial experience looking to make a significant impact in a wellness startup.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Formulation Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Ingredient Research: Conduct in-depth study and analysis of various skincare ingredients, including actives, botanicals, carrier oils, and herbal extracts.
- Product Formulation: Assist in creating, testing, and refining formulations for a diverse range of skincare products.
- Lab & Trial Support: Help in preparing and improving trial batches, meticulously documenting all ingredient ratios, observations, and results.
- Quality & Stability: Study product stability and shelf life to ensure efficacy and safety over time.
- Sensorial Evaluation: Evaluate critical product attributes like fragrance, texture, and skin compatibility.
- Regulatory Compliance: Research and adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements for cosmetics in India.
- Continuous Improvement: Suggest data-driven improvements based on lab performance and user feedback.
- Trend Analysis: Stay updated on the latest skincare trends, new ingredients, and scientific advancements.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with ingredient vendors and third-party labs as required.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed research notes, reports, and formulation databases.
- Scale-Up Support: Play a key role in scaling successful formulations from lab samples to full-scale production.
