Job Title: Medical Coder – Home Health
Location: Remote/Work from Home
Experience: 1-3 Years
Certification: BCHH-C or CPC (AHIMA certification preferred)
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately assign diagnostic and procedural codes for home health services using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.
- Stay updated with industry changes, including coding updates, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure timely submission of coded data for billing and reimbursement purposes.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in medical coding, preferably in home health or a related field.
- Certification: BCHH-C, CPC, or equivalent (AHIMA certification is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Familiarity with home health regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
