Job Responsibilities
As part of the Process Research and Development (Chemical Development) team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and optimizing chemical processes: Design, develop, and scale up chemical processes to meet the project requirements.
- Providing technical expertise: Troubleshoot and provide solutions to process-related challenges in R&D and pilot scale operations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Work closely with analytical, quality control, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of developed processes.
- Documentation and reporting: Prepare and maintain clear, accurate, and compliant technical reports, process protocols, and safety guidelines.
- Adhering to safety standards: Follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment in the lab and on the production floor.
- Ensuring quality control: Oversee the implementation of quality assurance measures to ensure high standards in the chemical development process.
Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Preferably Organic or Medicinal Chemistry).
- Experience: 1-10 years of hands-on experience in Process Research and Development or Chemical Development within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Preferred Background: Experience in chemical synthesis, process optimization, or scale-up operations.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of organic chemistry: In-depth understanding of chemical reactions, purification techniques, and analytical methods.
- Process Development expertise: Hands-on experience in chemical process development, from laboratory-scale to pilot-scale production.
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to address and resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Teamwork and communication skills: Capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicating effectively.
- Attention to detail: Strong focus on ensuring process accuracy, consistency, and safety.
- Familiarity with safety regulations: In-depth understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
