Responsibilities in the Job: As a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) at SGPGIMS, the selected candidate will work on the SERB-CRG extramural project titled “Determining the biological role of extracellular RNA (eRNA) in the pathogenesis of Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH).” The responsibilities include conducting laboratory-based research, data collection, analysis, and contributing to scientific findings. The JRF will work under the guidance of Dr. Rohit A. Sinha, contributing significantly to advancing the understanding of NASH and its underlying biological mechanisms.
Qualifications: To be eligible for the Junior Research Fellow position, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- A Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from a recognized University or Institute.
- A valid CSIR/UGC-NET or valid GATE score is required.
- The candidate must be under the age of 28 years at the time of application, with age relaxation applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per government norms.
Skills:
- Strong background in biological sciences, particularly in molecular biology or biochemistry.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and research methodologies.
- Ability to analyze complex scientific data and produce meaningful conclusions.
- Good communication skills for writing reports and presenting findings.
