Job Description: HCC Medical Coder at Synthesis Healthcare Chennai
As an HCC Medical Coder at Synthesis Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate risk adjustment coding in compliance with industry standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing Hierarchical Condition Category (HCC) coding using ICD-10-CM guidelines
- Applying CMS rules and risk adjustment models effectively
- Reviewing patient charts and abstracting accurate diagnoses
- Ensuring compliance with payer-specific rules and regulatory standards
- Maintaining coding quality, productivity, and accuracy benchmarks
- Collaborating with team leads to enhance coding processes
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Education: Any graduate in Life Sciences or related fields such as Biotechnology, Clinical Research, Anatomy & Physiology, or Healthcare Compliance
- Certifications: Mandatory CPC, CRC, CCS, or COC certification
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on experience in HCC medical coding
- Skills: Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding, familiarity with CMS guidelines, excellent attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills
