Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and optimizing HPLC and Preparative HPLC methods.
- Performing purification of crude reaction mixtures using Prep-HPLC.
- Conducting HPLC purity assessments and troubleshooting analytical issues.
- Supporting organic reaction monitoring through LC-MS analysis.
- Managing multiple Prep-HPLC systems efficiently.
- Collaborating with medicinal chemistry, biology, and analytical teams.
- Maintaining detailed laboratory records and scientific documentation.
- Ensuring laboratory safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards.
- Handling chemical waste disposal according to regulatory guidelines.
- Delivering accurate analytical data within project timelines.
- Participating in project discussions and scientific reviews.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess any of the following:
- B.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field
- M.Pharm with relevant analytical research experience
Experience
- 1 to 5 years of experience in Drug Discovery laboratories or Chemical CRO environments.
- Proven expertise in analytical and bioanalytical chemistry applications.
Preferred Skills
Alembic Pharmaceuticals is seeking candidates with:
- Strong hands-on experience in Preparative HPLC.
- Expertise in Mass Spectrometry and LC-MS techniques.
- Knowledge of analytical technologies used for chemical characterization.
- Understanding of column chemistry and HPLC detection methods.
- Experience handling small molecule and macrocyclic peptide projects.
- Exposure to in-vitro ADME testing (preferred).
- Excellent scientific documentation and communication skills.
