About AIIMS Raipur
AIIMS Raipur is one of the six AIIMS institutions established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). The institute aims to improve tertiary healthcare services and medical education in underserved regions of India.
This position is part of the DIAMOnDS project, which focuses on advanced molecular oncology diagnostics in the Department of Pathology & Lab Medicine.
Job Description & Responsibilities
The selected candidate will:
✔ Oversee scientific and technical aspects of molecular oncology diagnostics.
✔ Coordinate with medical colleges, hospitals, and research institutions for project implementation.
✔ Assist in procurement of lab instruments and consumables.
✔ Conduct molecular tests (IHC, PCR, RT-PCR, FISH) and train technical staff.
✔ Contribute to research publications and data analysis.
✔ Organize workshops, seminars, and stakeholder meetings.
✔ Manage project budgeting and documentation.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualifications:
For Medical Candidates (MBBS):
- MBBS + 6 years of experience
- OR Post Graduate Diploma + 5 years of experience
- OR MD/MS/DNB + 4 years of research experience
For Non-Medical Candidates:
- Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Life Sciences, or related fields + 4 years of experience
- OR B.Tech in Biotechnology + 6 years of research experience
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in relevant fields (Molecular Biology, Genetics, Pathology, etc.)
- Experience in Histopathology, PCR, RT-PCR, FISH, Bioinformatics
- Post-doctoral research/teaching experience
- Proficiency in English & Hindi
(Note: Ph.D. is considered equivalent to 3 years of experience.)
