Publication Coordinator – Scientific Communications Operations
The Publication Coordinator will support the scientific communications publication lifecycle and work with medical writers, subject matter experts, authors, and cross-functional teams. The role focuses on maintaining publication records, coordinating reviews and approvals, tracking timelines, and ensuring compliance with publication policies and ICMJE criteria.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain accurate publication records in Salesforce.
- Track project milestones and send reminders to support on-time publication delivery.
- Coordinate author invitations, reviews, and approvals with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with writers and subject matter experts to circulate drafts and manage timelines.
- Circulate publication drafts for review and track stakeholder feedback.
- Ensure comments are captured and addressed.
- Maintain knowledge of SOPs and publication best practices.
- Ensure adherence to publication policies and escalate potential compliance issues.
- Conduct compliance checks against industry standards, including ICMJE criteria, and Amgen requirements.
- Maintain consistent and high-quality data entry.
- Participate in publication planning and strategy discussions.
- Use Microsoft 365 applications and custom AI and automation tools to support daily activities.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates should have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree.
- 2–6 years of experience in medical publications or editorial work.
Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare settings is preferred.
